  1. Make a few invaluable investments.  Buy re-usable bottles, lunch containers, a thermos, and a re-freezable ice pack.
  2. Get the kids in the kitchen pays off. The more they help in the kitchen, they more they are likely they will eat healthy, budget-conscious food they had a hand in making!
  3. Plan for treats.  Make a certain day of the week, decadent dessert day and a day of the month “fast food day.” For health’s sake try to plan these for an especially active day!
  4. Keep a Daily Menu. Keep a daily menu of your lunch box.  For example, Mondays, you send them a hot meal, Tuesdays, a sandwich and so forth.
