For busy moms any meal time is always extremely busy and the clock ticks aways with no compassion.  As soon as I wake up, after my own coffee and solitude time, my day is as active as it can be, starting with the preparations of two meals at the same time:  breakfast and lunch [boxes].  Boy, is that one of the times that is definitely not my favorite one in the day.

Although I do have a breakfast menu for the week to keep things running smoothly in the mornings, making smoothies for breakfast has been that contain both fruits and vegetables quite a solution towards a stress-free morning, not to mention that is a healthy start for my family.  Here is one of the recipes I truly love because it is tasteful, healthy, quite balanced, and keeps us satisfied until lunch time.

Fruit and Spinach Smoothie

Ingredients:

  •  1 sliver of fresh pineapple
  • ½ squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 peeled oranges
  • a few date or almonds, whatever you have at home
  • 1 apple no core
  • a handful of fresh baby or regular spinach
  • honey and agar to taste
  • optional: a piece of peeled or not ginger
  • optional: flaxseed
  • ice
  • ½ a cup of water or drinkable greek yogurt

Preparation:

  1. put everything in your blender or smoothie maker.  I have Vitamix so I put everything in there and put it in the smoothie setting.
  2. I serve it in a wide large glass with some toasts or honey wheat bagel.

 Para las mamás ocupadas cualquier hora de la comida es siempre muy ocupada y el reloj marca los minutos sin compasión. Tan pronto como me despierto, después de café en soledad, mi día es tan activa como nunca, comenzando con la preparación de dos comidas al mismo tiempo: desayuno y almuerzo [loncheras ]. Realmente que es uno de los momentos que definitivamente no es mi favorita en el día.

A pesar de que tengo una menú de desayuno a la semana para mantener las cosas funcionando sin problemas en las mañanas, hacer batidos para el desayuno ha sido que contengan las dos frutas y verduras una solución bastante hacia una mañana libre de estrés , por no mencionar que es un comienzo saludable para mi familia. He aquí una de las recetas que verdaderamente amo porque es de buen gusto, sano, bastante equilibrado, y nos mantiene satisfecho hasta la hora del almuerzo .

Batido de frutas con espinacas

Ingredientes:

  •  1 tajada de piña fresca
  • ½ taza de jugo de limón exprimido
  • 2 naranjas peladas
  • unos cuantos fecha o almendras , lo que usted tiene en casa
  • 1 manzana sin núcleo
  • un puñado de bebé fresco o espinacas regulares
  • miel y agar al gusto
  • opcional : un trozo de jengibre pelado o no
  • opcional : linaza
  • hielo
  • ½ taza de agua o yogur bebible griego

preparación

  1. poner todo en la licuadora o el fabricante de batido . Tengo Vitamix por lo que poner todo ahí y lo puse en el ajuste de batido.
  2. Servir en un vaso ancho grande con unas tostadas o bagel de trigo con  miel.
