Healthy Start for a Cyclist Mom: A Blend of Fruit and Vegetable Juice

A blend of fruit and vegetable juice is now a key food in our family breakfast.  We have all heard it since we were little kids, “breakfast” is the most important meal of the day, and certainly it is.  It breaks our 8-hour fast providing us with the fuel we need to embrace our day with its challenges and pleasures.

Last holiday season, we made a big investment in your breakfast diet.  We bought a Breville® juice extractor precisely to have a good morning start at home.  Every morning, I make natural juice for the entire family and it includes the following fruits and vegetables:

  • apples
  • pineapples
  • watermelon, when available
  • oranges
  • pears
  • mandarin or clementines
  • strawberries
  • banana
  • carrots
  • celery
  • tomatoes
  • mini cucumbers
  • radish, sometimes because it can make the juice a bit too bitter for the kids.
  • parsely

I add one Emergen-C per glass, especially for my children or when we feel we are coming down with something.  This blend of fruits and vegetable juice is powerful and extremely nutritious.  It provides us with all the veggie and fruit servings we need for the entire day.

Breakfast is an investment in and of itself for your body, so why don’t you start it with a health meal filled with all the right foods? You don’t need to buy an expensive machine, a blender will do it.

Try this blend and let us know how you like it!
