Michael Kors, one of my favorite designers, ( I follow every step he makes) has partnered with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to help fight global hunger. Join Michael Kors and WFP on October 16 as they work together to spread awareness about this important cause.
WHAT IT IS
Founded by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1979, World Food Day is observed every year in more than 150 countries to help raise awareness of the issues behind poverty and hunger.
WEAR IT AND SHARE IT
Visit one of the six participating Michael Kors stores (in New York, Berlin, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Rio de Janeiro) on October 16 to receive a free “Watch Hunger Stop” T-shirt* and have your picture taken in our photo booth. The image (an animated GIF) will be texted to you so you can share it on your social networks using the hashtag #WatchHungerStop.
SEE YOURSELF IN TIMES SQUARE
Your image will be live-streamed to several digital billboards in Times Square, where thousands of people will be a part of the conversation. All the photos will also live on WatchHungerStop.com/Billboard so you can print or share them when you’re done!
If you can’t make to it to a store, you can still make a difference. This is how you can still participate:
SPREAD THE WORD
Help raise awareness by posting messages using the hashtag #WatchHungerStop. (You might show up on one of our billboards in Times Square!).
DONATE AT A STORE NEAR YOU
Visit any Michael Kors store during the month of October and help feed a child in need (in US, Canada, Europe and Japan).
- $5 feeds a child for a month
- $15 feeds three children for a month
- $25 feeds a child for a full school semester
DONATE FROM HOME
Visit WatchHungerStop.com to make a donation right now or if you are a watch lover like me, then you can acquire this beautiful Michael Kors Watch. Details here. I got myself the gold with green, and absolutely love it.
